If you have been caravanning for a while you will probably already know what a caravan motor mover is however if you are new then maybe these are something you have yet to come across.

Arriving at a caravan site you will start the process of un-hitching and trying to move your van onto your pitch. As a someone new to this it will all seem exciting but it won’t take long before you realizes that siting your caravan is not only a back breaking task but it is also soul destroying. It won't take long before you start kicking the wheels, cursing the caravan and screaming at those around you.

Not only is moving the caravan an unwelcome chore at the start of your holiday or at the end when you get home but in some instances in can be dangerous to your health. After persevering with this manual method of moving your caravan you may notice that not all fellow caravan enthusiasts are that unhappy when arriving at the caravan site. It's then you notice they have a small tv-like remote control in their hand and their caravan is moving all by itself. Welcome to the world of caravan movers.

Three Popular Caravan Movers

There are three popular manufacturers of caravan motor movers, Reich Powrtouch and Truma. However there are three other manufacturers that are just as good at prividing quality products, Purpleline, Rhyno and Mr Shifta.

All these companies, besides Reich, are based in the UK but of the 6 major caravan mover manufacturers mentioned here most if not all will have the actual units produced abroad or they will have the parts shipped into the UK and assembled in their factory. You should keep this in mind when choosing your caravan mover. To find out why the country of origin is important to us as a user of the product you should read this blog on the caravan mover

Basically however it has to do with the warranty you will recive with the product and how well you will get a good service after you have bought the mover. A caravan mover will do the same task in most conditions and besides very little differences they will all be pretty much the same. It's the customer services that you will be buying and the aftercare of your product.

At first glance there may seem to be only three options when buying a caravan motor mover take time to consider the “not so popular” manufacturers. Choosing a caravan motor mover is an expensive move but one that should be with you for a number of years, make sure you have all the facts before buying.

Rhyno Caravan Movers

Rhyno Caravan Motor Movers are an all-British parts product manufactured by a small family business based in the Coventry area of England, UK. The main point to note about these types of caravan movers is that they are reported to be easily fitted by the anyone with a little mechanical knowledge. The actual mover comes in a kit that has only 12 bolts to tighten and only three tools needed to complete the job.

As a DIY project this can save you a good deal of money, in fact it has been said that up to 80% of people who bought a Rhyno caravan mover fitted it themselves often in the two and a half hours Rhyno say it can be done.

Nice article - I got my caravan mover recently and have been really thrilled with it. Manoeuvring in and out of my drive was causing me such a hassle, this thing has been a lifesaver, even if it was an expensive additional cost that I hadn't quite planned for!
